This application is a mission critical on-air supported system, strong Spring / Hibernate and OOAD skills. This company is seeking a solid developer with heavy design / architect exp. with 10+ years JAVA development experience. This is the (Video) Media Asset Management (MAM) system that is replacing an older system. It provides a more contemporary application architecture and key production features required by the business - including HDTV production, location independent production, integration with craft video editors, short and long term (library) video repositories and other internal systems. It is also the MAM system for news bureaus around the world. The bureau systems differ from the studio system in hardware, size and scope, but share a common architecture and pedigree. EXT JS front end requires top notch Java programmers to write OO JavaScript well. Primary browsers are Safari and IE. Java / Hibernate / Spring on the back end. Need uber-guru types who are willing to challenge the existing groupthink on design and architecture, especially on TDD and emergent design and pair programming anti-patterns. Now porting Hibernate interface from OSX / MySQL to Linux / Oracle while continuing to support both. Project is under Agile/Scrum. Experience in XP or Scrum a big plus.
