Data Center Manager

As a member of the US IT Data Center Services team, reports to the US IT Data Center Services Manager II. Responsible for the following areas within Georgia Data Center: Data Center Facilities team member including on-call rotation. Deep understanding of mechanical engineering theory and application of that in a Data Center environment Perform Facilities environmental maintenance on all mechanical systems and their components Look to maximize mechanical PUE Monitor and maintain all Environmental systems in the Data Center Develop comprehensive SOP Database of all mechanical systems Perform and publish monthly metrics on key mechanical systems components Racking and cabling SUN and HP hardware including all SAN connections. Vendor Management of all Facilities related maintenance Confirmations in EBP for all hardware that arrives at the Data Center Overseeing the installation and commissioning of new pieces of mechanical equipment. Daily Environmental Walk-thru Strategic & Technical Orientation / Job Content: Has strong knowledge of team supported systems, services, IT Methodologies and project management. Possesses a broad knowledge of US IT infrastructure as well as IT service offerings and the Firm's business at a national level. Guides some junior staff in executing operational and troubleshooting methodologies. Leads operational projects of a complex nature. Receives some guidance and direction on complex issues. Accepts responsibility for resolution and reports progress in a timely fashion. Follows and supports operational disciplines such as Change Management and Quality Management to assure the availability of secure, stable and supportable services. Range of Impact: Contributes and drives accountability within operations to assure services that are required by the firm are readily available. Able to prioritize initiatives to meet changing business needs. Influences the direction of initiatives by collaborating with management within US IT to resolve challenges and issues. Manages delivery of facilities production floor operations services providing the physical foundation for all systems and infrastructure supporting the Firm's business processes.. Active participant in meetings regarding US IT operations, design and architecture and helps institute best practices across US IT.

BS - Mechanical Engineering

Job Requirements
5+ years Data Center experience in working with large scale Cooling systems and related Hardware and Electrical systems Must have working knowledge of other facilities functional areas including Electrical, fire protection, security. Must be familiar with business continuity and disaster recovery. Familiarty with HP, Sun, EMC, Cisco, Juniper, Netscout, Lightwaves, KVM switches Must have strong IT background with working knowledge of IP networking, cable infrastructure, switches, routers and firewalls. Lotus Notes, MS XP, Vista and other 'office' products a plus. Demonstrated communications and presentation skills required. Cable infrastructure testing fiber and copper OTDR, Fluke. RCDD skills a plus On call rotation support required. Ability to work OT, nights, weekends and after hours coverage for scheduling changes and responding to issues within the environment. Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a Facilities Team Member which includes learning the diverse skill set of all the teams roles. Ability to manage many projects and responsibilities simultaneously Effectively with people at all levels of the Firm. Demonstrates knowledge of available resources within the Firm. Displays sense of ownership, initiative and enthusiasm.
