Accounting Manager

Employee is responsible for understanding and applying basic and complex accounting concepts including revenue recognition and percentage of completion accounting. This person will work closely with accounting, projects, purchasing and project manager to ensure the monthly Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting and revenue recognition is timely and accurate. Reporting of profitability, backlog and revenue reporting by Cost Center is also required. This position will also be responsible for implementing and ensure the accuracy of monthly close entries related to POC accounting.

Requirements * 3-7 years of general accounting.
* Percentage of Completion accounting is a plus.
* Construction industry knowledge is also a plus.
* Ability to read, interpret and apply GAAP and technical accounting literature is required.
* Ability to use and manipulate large amounts of data is a plus.
* Advanced excel skills required.
* Review and analyze profit margins.
* Systems implementation and application experience is a plus.
* Prepare reports for management review and action.
* Assist with the monthly close process where required.

* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a large team.
* 1+ years Oracle experience preferred.
Qualifications:
* Four (4) year Accounting Degree Required
* Knowledge of SOP 81-1 is a plus
* CPA desirable
* Big 4 is a plus
* Advanced Excel skills required
* Detailed and accuracy orientation required
